The youtube channel Space Ice has some funny critiques of Segal. I liked Segal's early movies. They were good and still hold up. His later work seems pretty bad, even by B action movie standards. The one thing that make me appreciate Segal however is that Hollyweird hates him - so he can't be all bad.

Actually, I liked this episode a lot. The input that VikingSamurai provided was fun as a contrast to the usual Seagal slander. And he didn't just defend Seagal when you talked about his newer movies, which I respect. He just talked about the version of Seagal when he wasn't fat. TBH, I don't get why people in the comments hate on the guy this much. He has a right to his oppinion and it was fun watching you talk about your different view points.

I had to take a break from watching this because a certain movie came while I was in the middle of watching (which I’ll get to in a sec.). I don’t if you ever got into the martial arts magazines back in the early ‘80s, but they always had the page with the mail order martial arts training supplies. The one thing I always wanted was the split training machine. Whenever I watch Bloodsport that’s the first thing I think about during his “training” scene. Now back to the movie that came, The Last Kumite was awesome! I don’t want to give anything away since it’s still fairly new, but I loved the very last fight. Seeing Bolo Yeung’s son was great. I didn’t even need to look at the credits to know who his dad was. The Viking Samurai would have been great in the ‘80s martial arts action movies. At the end of it all seeing Matthias, Billy, Cynthia, and the Qissi brothers all in the same movie was probably my favorite part about it. Kurt McKinney was the wild card for me since it wasn’t until about halfway through that I actually checked IMDB to see who was playing his character. Even then I was still having a hard time seeing it.

This is actually a super fun movie worth watching if you like cheesy 80s camp. It's deliberately silly. It doesn't take itself seriously. Also, it needs to be said: in the 80s Canon Film did a lot of great B action movies. So did Golan & Globus. Way better than 90% of the stuff today. Not politically correct either, which ranks it far above the crap coming out of Hollyweird today.

For the genre that it falls within (gory horror revenge) this is not bad. I found it enjoyable.

This is roughly the plot of the 1970s animation Fantastic Planet, which is a masterpiece. This obviously is not. In both movies, humans are enslaved by large aliens, a human hero gets smart from one of the alien devices and liberates his kind.
